Choose whole grains like whole-wheat breads and pastas, beans, fruits and vegetables to fill your fuel tank. If you go on low carb plan, you will not be feeling very energetic or alert. Carb Myth 2#: All-natural means it’s healthy We believe that “all-natural” means healthy, safe and good for you. We think of rolling hills, wild flowers and acres of farm-fresh vegetables. The truth is “all-natural” foods can still be high in bad saturated fat, sugar, sodium and calories and low in fiber, vitamins, minerals, photochemicals and antioxidants. Remember, dirt and arsenic are all natural but you don’t want to eat them. Carb Myth 3#: Eating late at night is bad With today’s crazy schedules, people often do not get a chance to eat until 7 or 8 pm. It’s a myth that the food stays in your stomach all night and then turns immediately to fat. Your body does not turn off when you go to bed. There is no magic time of day that your body starts storing fat and stops digesting food. Gaining weight happens because over time you eat more calories than you expend. The hazards of late

    Our body’s evolved and survived perfect before we introduced carbs into our Diet and now everyone is fat .
    We don’t need carbs to function properly our body’s can do this perfect with Fat and Protein . Carbs can be useful but are not needed .

    Fat is a way better energy source than Carbs and also last way longer. Everyone still believes in the carb myths? OMG I don’t even know where to start with all this disinformation.

    just buy your food on the outside aisles of the grocery stores…all the processed food is in the center aisles. It’s nice you can recommend people eat “spelt” but that’s not the real world is it?

    @seka1986 no just if your dieting to loose fat limit them as well as calories. also, the abundance of carbs in the current western diet is why a ridiculously high percentage are obese/overweight.

    @janglots carbs inhibit ffa’s to be used as energy, they cause an insulin reaction, which is a hormone that signals the body to store calories as adipose tissue. while carbs (more so insulin) is present fat will be burned in very very small portions when in a caloric deficit. when your glucose reserves are filled in your muscle, the extra carbs will most likely go to fat.

    @janglots Check out the book “Why We Get Fat” if you are serious about learning about nutrition, and why your comment is wrong. Carbohydrates = glucose = the “sugar” in “blood sugar” = raise your insulin = insulin is the hormone that tells your body to store fat. Thinking that all foods tell your body to store fat exactly the same way is naive and misinformed.

    bunch of bull shit a calorie is just a calorie as long as you dont over eat and stay in your calorie range you wont get fat

    Thank you for this vid, very informative and easy to understand. I have been eating way way too many carbohydrates while being vegan for a couple years and am now trying to lose a bit of weight and transition slowly back into a normal healthy diet
